Setting Up Your Digital Ear Thermometer
Preparations:
1. To activate the ear thermometer, pull out the insulated strip.
2. Replace any low - voltage battery to ensure a full power supply.
3. For accurate reading, condition the thermometer at room temperature for 30 minutes before use.
4. An unexpected change in ambient temperature is likely to reduce the reading accuracy. Any attempt
to perform temperature measurment in front of an air conditioning unit will result in inaccurate readings.
5. Ensure the ear is clean as cerumen (earwax) filled ear can cause inaccurate readings.
6. Do not take temperature check immediately after exercise or bathing.
Setting Up:
1. Time mode.
2. Press and hold the "M" key for approximately 2 seconds until the hour flashes and the word "SET"
appears on the display.
3. Press the "M" key to adjust until you reach the correct hour.
4. Press the "T” key to switch between the hour, minute, year, month and date, following step 2 each stage.
5. Press the “T" key to resume a normal status.
6. Device will return to time mode automatically after 1 minute.
7. Changing between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) - Remove battery compartment cover. Use a ballpoint pen
to press into the hole on the left hand side marked ” °C/°F “ near the battery.
