The ink cartridge has to be replaced after

3.5 months at the latest or after 60,000 prints.

On the white surface on the front side of the ink

cartridge, note the date when the ink cartridge

was installed.

In this manual, an example of how to insert the

ink cartridge is shown using the IP S printer.

This also applies to the IP C printer.

Removing the used ink cartridge
• Open the door on the left side of the printer and press

the red retaining bracket (1,

) down and carefully

pull the ink cartridge out (3,

) approx. 30 mm until

the "Ink Empty" LED lights up.

• Take the red protective cap out of the recess in the

ink cartridge and screw it to the cartridge. Then

remove the used ink cartridge.

Inserting the new ink cartridge

• Take a new ink cartridge from the carton and remove

the plastic packaging.

• Carefully shake the ink cartridge 2-3 times.

• Pull the red retaining bracket forward and insert

a new ink cartridge about halfway into the slot

The following description explains the different handling of the locking mechanism relating to exchang-

ing the ink cartridge as described in "

Chap. 4.9 Exchanging the cartridge

" of the Instructions for Use. All

other descriptions and tasks in the chapters mentioned remain unaffected by the different handling.
