2. Safety
Warnings – Cleaning and maintenance
Material safety data sheets can be obtained from the supplier of the chemicals.
Alternatively, they can be downloaded from the following website:

• Before any maintenance, switch off the instrument and unplug it from power supply.
• Do not use solvents that contain acetone for cleaning. No liquid may be spilled into the internal components
of the instrument – neither during operation nor during cleaning.
• When using cleaners, comply with the safety instructions of the manufacturer and the safety regulations of
your laboratory!
• Check the condensate container at least once a week and, if necessary, drain it.
• System bottles and Leica RTU-bottles must not be cleaned in a dishwasher - the containers are NOT dishwasher-
proof.
