movement

Important:

Do not place the Set Span and Setpoint
activity with the Maintain command enabled
in a parallel path with another command
activity, since doing so results in a runtime
error.

Selecting the Maintain command check box disables
the Monitor property.

Default: Disabled.

Monitors span and setpoint either once or continually.
The Monitor property is not available if the Maintain

Monitor

command to prevent movement check box is
selected.

Available Monitor options are:

One Time—Sets the span and setpoint values in
the controller once and closes.

Continuous—Provides continuous monitoring
and updating of the span and setpoint values.
Place the Set Span and Setpoint activity in
parallel with the activity that periodically modifies
the assigned variables. When using the
Continuous Monitor option, the Set Span and
Setpoint
activity does not close on its own.
Therefore, indicate another activity within the
parallel branch as the terminal path.

Note:

If you are using the Continuous Monitor
option, you must define Span and Setpoint
as variables.
