2. System Overview

On the inside of the control panel there can be found:

2 x relay 12V/30A for guarding oil pressure and temperature of cooling liquid with aid of a stopping coil (Engine shuts off when
the oil pressure is low or the temperature of the cooling liquid is to high).

1 x relay 12V/30A by-pass guards (oil pressure) when starting engine.

Starting and using the generator

AUTION

:

The generator 183TDE is equipped with a 12V electric fuel pump. This pump may not “run dry”. If

the engine stops because it is out of fuel, turn the contact key to position “OFF” as fast as possible.

Starting the engine

1. Check the oil level. Oil dipstick can be reached through the plastic cover on top of the generating set

2. Check the fuel level, add if necessary .

Caution:

Adding fuel with engine stopped and in a sufficiently ventilated room, respecting the necessary personal safety pre-
cautions.

3. Preheat the engine for approximately 10 sec.

4. Start the engine with the starting key.

5. Let the engine run for a few minutes before charging.

Charging the generator

1. On the type indication plate of the generator you can find more information about the power/maximum admissible charging current

of the generator.
