Quick Install Guide
EN
1. Insert the PS3 ® gamepad into the TRACE Smartphone
Clip‘s holder.
2. Before doing so, make sure the gamepad is switched off .
If necessary, press and hold the PS ® button for around
10 seconds until the LEDs on the top of the gamepad
switch off .
3. Now position your smartphone at the best angle above the
gamepad using the suction-cup holder. Make sure that all
twelve suction cups are attached securely to the fl at side
of the smartphone and that the micro-USB port on the
smartphone is accessible.
4. Connect your smartphone to the PS3 ® gamepad using the
accompanying mini-USB to micro-USB cable. Depending
on the software version, a notifi cation will be displayed
on the smartphone saying that a new device has been
connected. The controller will be powered automatically
by the smartphone while connected. This ensures that the
controller is always ready to use. Be aware though that
this will reduce your smartphone’s battery life slightly.
In some cases, the gamepad will activate automatically
when connected to the smartphone. If this doesn‘t
happen, activate the PS3 ® gamepad by pressing the
PS ® button briefl y.
5. Make sure your smartphone is unlocked. Now start a
suitable game that supports gamepad input. The input
commands diff er depending on the software version
and game.
6. In the game, set the gamepad as the input device and
confi gure the buttons under the game’s options settings.
For further information and any questions about the
games, please contact the video game software
publisher directly.
7. You can disconnect the cable from the gamepad at any
time and operate the smartphone using its touchscreen.

1. Primero coloca el gamepad para PS3 ® en el soporte

vorgesehene Halterung des TRACE Smartphone Clips ein.
2. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Gamepad ausgeschaltet

zwölf Saugnäpfe festen Kontakt zur ebenen Rückseite des
Smartphones haben und dass der Mikro-USB-Anschluss
des Smartphones frei zugänglich bleibt.
4. Über das beiliegende Mini-USB auf Micro-USB-Kabel
verbinden Sie das Handy mit dem PS3 ® - Gamepad.
Je nach verwendeter Software erscheint auf dem
Smartphone die Meldung, dass ein neues Gerät
angeschlossen wurde. Der Controller wird während
der hergestellten Verbindung durch das Smartphone
automatisch mit Strom versorgt. Dies stellt sicher, dass
der Controller jederzeit einsatzbereit ist. Beachten Sie
bitte, dass dies die Akkulaufzeit Ihres Smartphones
geringfügig herabsetzt.
Direkt nach Anschluss an das Smartphone wechselt
das Gamepad in einigen Fällen automatisch in den
Betriebsmodus. Sollte dies nicht der Fall sein, aktivieren
Sie das PS3 ® -Gamepad durch kurzes Drücken der
PS ® -Taste.
5. Achten Sie darauf, dass Ihr Smartphone entsperrt
ist. Starten Sie nun ein geeignetes Spiel, welches die
Eingabe durch Gamepads unterstützt. Die Eingabebefehle
unterscheiden sich je nach Software-Version und Spiel.
6. Wählen Sie das Gamepad im Spiel als Eingabegerät
und konfi gurieren Sie die Tasten unter den Spiele-
Optionen. Für nähere Information und Fragen zu den
verwendeten Spielen wenden Sie sich bitte direkt an den
Spielhersteller.
7. Das Kabel kann jederzeit vom Gamepad entfernt und das
Smartphone über die Touchscreen-Funktion
bedient werden.

4. Collegare il cellulare con il gamepad PS3 ® tramite il
cavo in dotazione mini USB a micro USB. A seconda
del software appare l‘avviso sullo smartphone che è
stata collegata una nuova periferica. Il controller viene
alimentato automaticamente dallo smartphone durante

7. Il cavo può essere rimosso dal gamepad in qualunque
momento e lo smartphone può essere adoperato tramite
