13. Make sure entire shaft assembly is routed without interference. Tighten u-joints and the shaft support
bracket. Make sure the jam nut on the hiem joint is tight as well. Tighten rack bracket bolts down to
the suggested: 36 ft lbs.
14. At this point, check to make sure all nuts and bolts are tight and get the vehicle to a qualified shop for
an alignment. Toe is adjusted by leaving outer tie rod loose at jam nut and by just turning inner tie rod
end.
