1) Remove the Adjustable Lift Bar Extension (2) from its

protective packaging. Then remove the molded rubber
end plug from the end of the lift bar (1) on the vacuum
lifter.
Note: Check the end of the lift bar tube for any excess

welding material that could prevent the adjustable

extension from sliding into the lift bar. If so, use a
metal file or other appropriate tool to remove this
material.

2) Insert the adjustable extension into the lift bar as shown

and position the adjustable extension to align the holes
for the desired length (see OPERATING FEATURES).

WARNING: Do not reverse extension orientation.

Be sure to install the adjustable extension in the same

orientation as shown. The adjustable extension is not
intended to be reversed.

3) Insert the hex head bolt (5) with one flat washer (7)

through the lift bar and adjustable extension.

4) Install another flat washer (7), followed by the lock

washer (8) and the hex nut (6) on the threaded end of
the bolt protruding from the lift bar.

5) Using appropriate wrenches, tighten the bolt securely,

being careful not to crush the outer tube.

6) Position the lift shackle and pin (3) at the desired lift point location (see ensuing discussion)

and secure them with the hairpin (4).
