8.1 Tractor Pre-Operation Inspection/Service

Refer to the tractor operator’s manual to ensure a
complete pre-operation inspection and scheduled
service is performed according to the
manufacturers recommendations. The following
are some of the items that require daily service and
inspection:

Tire condition/air pressure

Wheel lug bolts

Steering linkage

PTO shield

SMV sign is clean and visible

Tractor’s lights are clean and functional

Tractor Seat belt is in good condition

Tractor ROPS is in good condition

ROPS is in the raised position

No tractor oil leaks

Radiator free of debris

Engine oil level and condition

Engine coolant level and condition

Power brake fluid level

Power steering fluid level

Fuel condition and level

Sufficient lubrication at all lube points

Air filter condition OPS-U-0030

8.2 Mower Pre-Operation Inspection/Service

Before each mower use, a complete inspection and service is required to ensure the mower is in a good and
safe working condition. Damaged and/or broken parts should be repaired and/or replaced immediately. To
ensure the mower is ready for operation, conduct the following. OPS-R-0007

The operator’s manual and safety signs affixed on
the unit contain important instructions on the safe
and proper use of the equipment. Maintain these
important safety features on the implement in good
condition to ensure the information is available to
the operator at all times.

Ensure the manual canister is secured to the
equipment with the operator’s manual inside.

Ensure all safety signs are in place and legible.
Replace missing, damaged, and illegible
decals. OPS-U- 0011
