DEALER SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
The mower as received from the factory is partially assembled and requires minimum time to complete
assembly and is ready for sale.
The mower is shipped vertically with shipping brackets. These shipping brackets are intended for use in
transporting the mower from the factory to dealer.
DO NOT use these brackets to store the unit. DO NOT store mower vertically, the mower
can fall over resulting in serious injury or death. To avoid injury, always store mower lying
down on flat ground.
SHIELD ASSEMBLY
Before installing gearbox shields, check lubricant level in gearbox. Refer to Maintenance Section - Gearbox.
Attach cotter pin and cable assembly (3) through top shield bracket (2) from outside in. Remove the bolts (4) on
the front of the gearbox housing. Align holes in the top shield bracket (2) and gearbox. Reinstall the bolts and
lockwasher (Torque to 33 ft. lbs.). Attach cotter pin (3) through top shield (1) from outside in. Attach shield (1) to
top bracket (2) and secure with flatwasher (5) and nut (6). Figure AsmP-R-0068 & AsmP-R-0069
