No need for additional drivers because Microsoft already provides
an USB Mass Storage driver with Windows ME, 2000& XP
operating system. Once you connect the 5.25” enclosure to the
USB 2.0 port on your system, Windows should automatically detect
the device and install the appropriate drivers.
B. Installing Firewire 1394a driver (For Combo version)
For Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 & XP
No need for additional drivers because Microsoft already provides a
build-in SBP-2 driver with Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 & XP
operating system. Once you connect the 5.25” enclosure to the
1394a port on your system, Windows should automatically detect
the device and install the appropriate drivers.
For Combo version USB 2.0 (For Windows 98/98SE)
Windows 98/98SE does not include a USB Mass Storage
driver so you need to install Windows 98/98SE driver. The
driver is located in \Prolific\PL3507\Win98 directory. Click
“Setup” and follow the on screen instruction to install the
appropriate drivers.
