1b. If you choose to use the PS/2 to DC Jack power cable, connect the PS/2

side to the PS/2 keyboard connector at the back of the mainboard and
plug the other end of the cable with the DC Jack to the Hub Bay’s 5V
DC Jack.

1c. If you choose to use the external Y-power cable, plug the small R/A

connector of the Y-power cable to the Hub Bay’s PC Power connector.
Connect other end of the Y-cable to the computer power supply. The Y-
cable must go through the mounting bracket opening at the back of the
computer casing to the computer power supply.

Start Windows. Once Windows is running, use the USB 2.0 (Type ’A’ to
Type ’B’) cable which came with your Hub Bay and plug the Type ’B’
end of the USB 2.0 cable to the Hub Bay, then plug the other end of the
USB 2.0 cable to your computer’s USB 2.0 port.

Windows should detect the Hub Bay and automatically install the
appropriate drivers for your USB 2.0 Hub Bay.

4.

You have now finished installing your Hub Bay.


Installing your USB 2.0 Hub Bay as a 3.5” internal Hub Bay
With your computer switch off ~
Note: This installation assume that you have USB 2.0 ports on your computer
with all the USB 2.0 and USB 2.0 Root Hub device drivers installed properly.
1.

Disconnect the computer power cord and remove the computer cover.
Refer to your computer manual for removal procedures.

2.

Locate any un-use 3.5” drive bay and remove the panel cover. Your Hub
Bay is ready to install in to a 3.5” drive bay. Slide the Hub Bay into the
drive bay and align the front panel of the Hub Bay with other drives
installed in the computer. Secure the Hub Bay to the drive bay with
screws provided.

Use the USB 2.0 (Type ’A’ to Type ’B’) cable which came with your
Hub Bay, connect the Type ’A’ end of the USB 2.0 cable to the internal
USB 2.0 port of your USB 2.0 Host Controller Card in your computer or
the motherboard. Connect the other end to the Hub Bay.

4.

Locate a floppy drive power connector from the power supply in your
computer and connect it to the Hub Bay’s PC Power connector.

Caution! Make sure the power supply cable is securely connected to the
Hub Bay.
