device profiles should also be recorded (by printing the setup screens or writing down the settings), as
these will also need to be reprogrammed.
The upgrade procedure is described in the following sections and should be performed in the order
presented.
3.2 Downloading Software Updates
The Washpay upgrade kit includes a thumbdrive with update programs for paynodes (installed in bay
terminals and printers) and for the Washpay interface board, which is installed in the Wash Select II.
These updates are applied as follows
3.2.1 Updating the Paynodes
1. If you are using the site server (old) with a monitor, mouse, and keyboard, skip to step 2. If
you are using a laptop or PC, locate the router to which the paynode terminals are
connected. Connect your laptop or PC to the router using a CAT5E cable.
2. Plug in the thumbdrive provided in the upgrade kit into a USB port and copy the files onto
the desktop of the PC, laptop, or site controller.
3. Click and run the UDPDownload.exe file. Make sure all bays, printers, and Wash Select II
units are online and listed in the utility.
