Steinberg Cubase

Launching Cubase will bring up the Steinberg Hub.

Under Projects, select Empty.

Use the default location, name your new project and click Create.

Go to Devices-Device Setup.

Under VST Audio System, select Aphex ASIO from the drop down menu.

You will be prompted, “Do you want to switch ASIO driver?” Click Switch.

Set Audio Priority to Boost.

Uncheck ASIO-Guard.

Click Apply, then click OK.

Go to Devices-VST Connections.

Inputs will show 500 RACK SLOT 1 & 2.

These are the inputs need for this demo, but if you want to add all of the inputs
click on Add Bus.

Select STEREO and click add bus. Repeat until all 6 inputs are shown.

Outputs will show 500 RACK ANALOG L & R. These are analog outputs 1 & 2 on
the rear panel, that would be connected to speakers.

If using headphones, click Add Bus. Select STEREO and click Add Bus. You can
stop here for now or you can keep adding stereo buses until all 10 outputs are
shown.

Exit the VST Connections Window.

Go to Project-Add Track-Audio. Select Mono and click Add Track.

The Input will default to Left Stereo In (which is Slot 1.)

The output will default to Stereo Out (speakers). Click on the output and select
Stereo 2 if using headphones.

Click the red circle (Track Arm) on your track.

Click on the Speaker icon.

You should now see signal on the input and output meters and hear yourself in
the speakers or headphones. If using speakers, be careful of feedback with your
microphone during this setup check.
