Receiving the memorized
stations

Press ( SOURCE ~) repeatedly to select the
tuner.
Press C MODE ) repeatedly to select the
band (FM1, FM2or AM).

momentarily where the desired station is

If you cannot tune in a preset
station

Press either side of ( seek / ams ^
momentariiy to search for the station
(Automatic Tuning).
Scanning stops when the unit receives a
station. Press either side of
( SEE k / ams )
repeatedly until the desired station is
received.
Note
If the automatic tuning stops too frequently, press
( SHIFT), then press CD (PLAY MODE) repeated!}/ until
"LOCAL" (local seek model is displayed. Then press (T)
(—•) to select "ON."
Old}/ the stations with rclatii>eh/ strong signals will be
tuned in.
Tip
Ifi/ou know tlw/requcucxf of the station yon want to listen
to, press and hold either side of
(SEEK/ ams ) for two
seconds until the desired frequency appears (manual
tuning).
If FM stereo reception is poor
— Monaural Mode

Press

SHIFT'), then press (T) (PLAY
MODE) repeatedly until "MONO"
appears.

Press ( T )

repeatedly until "MONO-
ON" appears.
The sound improves, but becomes
monaural ("ST" disappears).

To go back to the normal mode, select
"MONO-OFF" in step 2 above.
Changing the displayed items
Each time you press ( dspl ). the item
alternates between the frequency and the
clock.
Storing the station names
— Station Memo
You can assign a name to each radio station
and store it in memory. The name of the
station currently tuned in appears in the
display. You can store up to eight characters
for a station.

Tune in a station whose name you want
to store.

Press ( LIST ) for two seconds.

Enter the characters.
O Press C±) to select the desired
characters.
(A-»B — C - . - Z — 0->1 — 2-»

If you press (HD, the characters appear
in the reverse order.
If you want to put a blank space
between characters, select (under­
bar).
© Press (3D (—*) after locating the
desired character.
The flashing cursor moves to the next
space.

moves to the left.
© Repeat steps O and © to enter the
entire name.

To return to the normal radio reception,
press ( LIST ) for two seconds.
Tip
To erasefcorrect a name, enter
(under-bar) for each
character.
