Signing Up for the WebTV Classic
Service
Signing up for the WebTV Classic service is as easy as filling out a
short application form right on your TV screen. After you complete
the last page, you can correct any mistakes. After you finish signing
up, the Web Home page appears and you are ready to begin.

These Operating Instructions give instructions for using the on-screen keyboard. You
can also use the Sony Internet Terminal Wireless Keyboard which is available at your
Sony dealer.
Signing Up

Press the TV POWER button to turn on your television. (See
“Programming the Remote Control" on page 19.)

Press the WEB POWER button to connect to the WebTV Classic
service.
After a few introductory pages, the sign-up page appears.
^ The first time you conned to the WebTV Classic service, your Internet Terminal
takes a minute or more to make the connection.
If you connected the Internet terminal to your TV with an S-Video or AA/
cable, press the TVWlOEO button to cycle through the TV's video inputs until
the WebTV Classic service appears on your screen;

When you are asked to provide information, press to display
the on-screen keyboard.
