Turning on the answering machine
Notes
• If the remaUiiiig recording time becomes less than 4 minutes and 30 seconds, the
remaining recording time is announced.
• If 4 minutes have passed while recording the incoming message, the line is
d isconnected automatical I y.
• If the message is shorter than 2 seconds, the message is not recorded.
Tip
The answering machine will automatically answer a call alter 10 rings even if the
answering function is off.
The answering function will remain on for all subsequent calls.
To turn off the answering machine
Pre,s.s (ANSWER ).
The answering machine is turned off and the message counter goes
off.
Tip
You can turn the answering machine on/off using the handset, too (see page 31).
