OPERATIO
BIT STORAGE
See Figure 7.
When not in use, bits provided with the driii can be piaced
in the storage area iocated on the base of the driii.
INSTALLING BITS
See Figures 8 - 9.
■ Lock the switch trigger by piacing the direction of
rotation seiector in the center position,
■ Open or cióse the chuck jaws to a point where the
opening is siightiy iarger than the bit size you intend to
use. Aiso, raise the front of the driii siightiy to keep the
bit from faliing out of the chuck jaws.
■ Insert the driii bit,
A, WARNING: Make sure to insert the driii bit straight
into the chuck jaws. Do not insert the driii bit into the
chuck jaws at an angie then tighten, as shown in fig­
ure 9. This couid cause the driii bit to be thrown from
the driii, resuiting in possibie serious personai injury
or damage to the chuck,
■ Tighten the chuck jaws secureiy on the bit,
NOTE: Rotate the chuck body in the direction of the
arrow marked LOCK to cióse the chuck jaws. Do not
use a wrench to tighten or ioosen the chuck jaws.
REMOVING BITS
See Figure 8.
■ Lock the switch trigger by piacing the direction of rota­
tion seiector in the center position,
■ Open the chuck jaws.
NOTE: Rotate the chuck body in the direction of the
arrow marked UNLOCK to open the chuck jaws. Do
not use a wrench to tighten or ioosen the chuck jaws.
■ Remove the driii bit.
