CHECKLIST

For the best performance and satisfaction

from this quality product, please review the
following checklist before you operate the

Edger;

All assembly instructions have been

completed.

y

Check carton. Make sure no loose

parts remain in the carton.

y

Al! fasteners have been properly tight­

ened.

As you learn how to use the Edger, pay extra

attention to the following important items:

Engine oil is at proper level.

yy

Fuel tank is filled with a fresh, dean,

regular Unleaded gasoline.

Become familiar and understand the

function of all controls. Before your
start the engine, operate all controls.

IMPORTANT: This unit is equipped with an internal combustion engine and must not be
used on or near any unimproved forest-covered, brush-covered or grass-covered land
unless the engine's exhaust system is equipped with a spark arrester meeting
applicable local or state laws (if any). If a spark arrester is used, it must be maintained in
effective working order by the operator.

In the State of California the above is required by law (Section 4442 of the California

Public Resources Code). Other states may have similar laws. Federal laws apply on fed­

eral lands. A spark arrester/muffler is available through your nearest Sears Service Cen­

ter (see the REPAIR PARTS section in this manual).
