TO ADJUST MOTION CONTROL LEVER (See

Fig, 30)

The motion control Isver has been preset a1 the factory and
adjustment should not be necessary,
If for any reason the mofion control (svsr will nol hold Hs
position while at a seiecled speed, It may be adjusted at the
friction pack located on the right side of transmission.

Park iraclor on level surface. Slop tractor by turning

ignition key to "OFF" position, and engage parking
brake.

Adjust motion control lever by ttghtining adjustment

locknut one halt {1/2} turn

NOTE: If for any reason the eiforl to move the motion

control lever becomes loo excessive, reverse the above
adjustment procedure by loosening locknut 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
Road test tractor after adjustment and repeat procedure If
necessary

TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/REPLACEMENT

Should your transmission require removal for service or
replacement. It should be purged after relnsiaHallon and
betöre operating the tractor. See "PURGE TRANSMIS­
SION" in the Operation section of this manual.

FRONT WHEEL TOE-IN/CAMBER

The front Wheel toedn and camber are not adjustable on
your tractor. If damaga has occurred to affect the front
wheel toe-in or camber, contact your nearest authorized

service centsr/ctepailment.

TO REMOVE WHEEL FOR REPAIRS

(See Fig. 31)

Block up axle securely.

Remove axle cover, retaining rtng and washers to allow

wheel removal (rear wheel contains a square key - Do

not lose).

Repair tire and reassembte,

On rear wheels only: alion grooves in rear wheel hub
and axle, insert square Lay.

■ ReplacB washers and snap rstaihing ring securely In

axle groove­

* Replace axle cover,

NOTE: To seal tire punctures and praverjt flat liras due to

slow teaks, tire sealant may be purchased from your local

parts dealer Tire sealant also prevents lire dry rot and

corrosion.

TO START ENGINE WITH A WEAK BATTERY

(See Fig. 32)

CAUnON: Lead-acid batteries gener­
ateexplosive gases. Keep sparks, flame

and smoking materials away from bat­
teries. Always wear eye protection

when around betlerles.

TO ADJUST STEERING WHEEL ALIGNMENT

II steering wheel crossbars are not horizorrtal (ieft to right)

when wheels ars positioned straightforward, remove steer­

ing wheel and reassembte per instructions in the Assembly
section of this manual

If your battery Is too weak to start the engirre, it should be

recharged. (I “jumper cables" are used for emergency
starting, loHow this procedure:

Connect each end of the RED cable to the POStTiVE

(.{■) terminal of each battery, taking cars not to short

against chassis,

Connect one end of tha BLACK cable to the NEGA­

TIVE {-) terminal of fully charged battery

Connect the other end of the BLACK cable to good
CHASSIS GROUND, away from (usi tankand battery

TO REMOVE CABLES, REVERSE ORDER -
• BLACK cable first from chassis and then trom tha tutly

charged battery

RED cable last from both batteries
