Exposure Compensation

Automatic exposure compensation aiiows for correct
exposure when the subject is normaiiy backiit.

However, if you want your picture to be generaiiy

darker or iighter, you can manuaiiy adjust the amount
of exposure compensation.

Press the exposure

compensation button until
+1.5 or -1.5 blinks.

^ The display changes

every time you press.

• +1.5 exposure adjustment

This setting will create a

generally lighter picture. It is
effective for shooting
landscapes with a large area

of sky, or for pictures taken at
ski resorts. It is also effective
for backlit subjects.

• -1.5 exposure adjustment

This setting will create a

generally darker picture. It is
effective for shooting a
subject in a spotlight, or
positioned against a dark
background (building, etc.).
