Slow-synchro Mode

In this mode, a slow shutter speed is set so that a
distant background is also lit. This mode is effective
when taking pictures of people with an evening or
nocturnal background.

• If ® is displayed on the LCD panel, the red-eye
reduction function will operate in flash photography
When the shutter button Is pressed, the red-eye
reduction lamp lights up and the shutter will not
release for about one second. (— p. 18)
■ Be sure to place the camera on a steady surface or
mount it on a tripod.
• This mode operates using a slower shutter speed
(max. 4 sec ); therefore, be sure to tell your subject to
keep still for a moment after the flash has fired.
