15.4.2

Switching Off

The complete appliance is switched off using the Master On/Standby switch (1).

Each hob is switched off by using the On/Standby key (2) of each hob. When you switch
off the device via “On/Standby” and the temperature of the cooker plate surface is lower
than 50°C, the display shows „L“. When the temperature of the cooker plate surface is
over 50 °C, it is displaying „H“.

Please note

► Note that the appliance’s fan continues to operate for a while after the appliance has

been switched off in order to dissipate the heat that has built up in the appliance.

► If the appliance is unused for an extended period of time unplug, the appliance from the

socket in order disconnect it from the mains power supply.

15.4.3

Switching On

Follow the instructions below in order to operate the appliance safely.

Plug the power plug into a suitable outlet. Within 3 seconds after connecting the appliance
to the power supply an acoustic signal sounds. The temperature of the cooker plate
surface is displayed: is the temperature of the surface of the induction cooker lower than
50°C, the display shows „L“. When the temperature of the cooker plate surface is over 50
°C, it is displaying „H“. Press the Master On/Standby switch (1), the key lights up.

Place a suitable cooking pot with its contents to be cooked on the centre on the
hob (Ø 160 mm - 260 mm).

Now press the On/Standby switch (2) to turn on one of the three induction hobs. The
control lamp of "power stage" blinks and an acoustic signal sounds.

If display shows - - - , please check the pot you use – chapter “Instructions on cookware”.

Please note

► Should no further operation in 30 seconds after pressing On/Standby key, the control

lamp goes off and then the unit goes back to standby status automatically. To re-
operate the unit, simply press Master On/Standby key (1) again and other function
keys.

15.4.4

Power Stage

Press the selection key >> (6) as long as necessary to select the power stage (Indicator
lamp power stage (3)). The preset power stage "5" is selected and the device turns on.

With the + / - Keys (7+8), you can change the settings at any time in a range from 1 – 10.

Please note

► We recommend to select the function “Power stage” in case of steaming food or boiling

water for example. So the overheating protection “E05” will not be activated.
