Practical advice for using the appliance

For optimal results move the blending attachment while immersed in the ingredients.
Before making fruit mush, clean, remove seeds from and dice the fruit; then add a little milk or other liquid to
the mix before blending.

Do not attempt to blend ice, seeds or other solid matter with the blender.

When preparing mayonnaise pour all ingredients into the beaker, then lower the blender attachment to the
bottom of the beaker and move it regularly up and down.

Ensure that the food to be blended always covers the blade guard head of the attachment.

Using the beating attachment

Assemble the upper and lower elements of the beating attachment, and then mount it on the unplugged
motor unit by inserting its shaft into the star shaped opening on the bottom of the motor unit. Next, turn it
clockwise until the bayonet lock secures it tightly to the base. When disassembling the unplugged appliance
remove the blending attachment from the base by turning it in the opposite direction, i.e. counter clockwise.

Put all ingredients into a suitably sized mixing bowl and then immerse the beating attachment of the
appliance into its contents. Insert the stick blender mains plug into the wall socket and then operate the
appliance starting at low and then high speed until reaching the desired effect.

Use the beating attachment only for beating egg white or whipped cream.
The attachment cannot be used for blending other foods (fluids, creams, sauces, dips, etc.).

Using the chopping attachment

Place the chopping bowl on a stable, flat surface and then mount the chopping knife on the shaft located in
the bowl.

Cut vegetables or meat into 1 to 2-cm cubes before adding to the bowl. Take care that the meat is completely
free of bones and is not too stringy, otherwise the chopping unit may be damaged. Take care to prevent fruit
stones entering the bowl.

Put all ingredients into the bowl, taking care not to exceed the maximum quantity specified for each food
type or the 750 millilitre marking on its side.

The beating attachment can be used for making whipped egg and whipped cream.

Using the chopping attachment the appliance is capable of chopping vegetables (carrot, kohlrabi, onion etc.)
boiled or baked poultry, pork or beef.

Before use

1. Unpack the appliance and remove all the packing materials.

2. Inspect the appliance and the accessories carefully to verify their soundness and undamaged condition. Only

perfectly sound and damage-free appliances may be connected to the electrical mains.

3. Before using for the first time, clean the device and its accessories as described in the chapter “Maintenance

and Cleaning”.

Using the mixing stick

1. Insert the mixing stick into the unplugged motor unit so that the attachment’s shaft fits into the star-shaped

opening at the base of the motor unit; then turn it clockwise until the bayonet lock secures the attachment
tightly to the base. When disassembling the unplugged appliance remove the mixing stick from the base by
turning it in the opposite direction, i.e. counterclockwise.

2. Put all ingredients into a suitably sized mixing bowl and then immerse the mixing stick of the appliance into

the mixing bowl’s contents. Insert the stick blender’s mains plug into the wall socket and then turn on the
appliance by pressing the operating button.
The operating button has two positions:
– when the upper section is pressed, the appliance operates at speed one:
– lower speed,
– when the lower section is pressed, the appliance operates at speed two:
– higher speed.

Notes:

* For safety reasons the operating buttons must be continuously pressed for operation.
* When selecting a mixing bowl be sure that the side walls are sufficiently high to prevent any spattering of
the liquid ingredients during blending, at either slow or high speed operation.

3. When blending is completed turn the hand blender off by releasing the operating button, wait until the

blade stops and only then lift the appliance from the bowl.

4. When blending is finished, the appliance should be cleaned without delay. Immerse the blending attachment

into a bowl ready prepared with a soft, neutral detergent solution and run the blender for a few minutes.
Next, immerse the attachment into a bowl of clean water to rinse away any detergent residues.

5. After use disconnect the appliance from the mains. Cleaning the appliance as soon after use as possible is

recommended.
