This example indicates that no specific set of defaults will load when FastBreak is
launched. If you push the small button, a default file selection menu will be launched. It
will list all your saved Default (*.dft) files. You can select a file from this list and it will
appear in the above blank box. The next time FastBreak is launched, the settings in this
file will be loaded. Note: This feature is often overlooked. If you have a favorite strat-
egy, you can use this panel to have it load automatically each time FastBreak is
launched.

Function menu

The function pull-down menu has three options. The Execute option starts the execution
of a strategy. The second option is Fund Rank. After a strategy is executed the final
ranking of a family can be viewed by selecting Fund Rank:

If the time period used ends on the latest market date, this ranking will be the current
ranking of the trading family. The *** indicates fund(s) currently held in the strategy.
Clicking on the fund symbol will show the fund name. The 28% shown above indicates
the cutoff point for a fund to be held, that is, if a held fund falls below the point (On sell
ranking list. The 28% point on the buy ranking list has no meaning) then it will be sold
(subject to minimum holding periods). This screen can only be used after a strategy has
been executed to get an indication that a fund sell and buy may be near.

There is a search aid available to help find a fund in a very long list. Type the fund sym-
bol in the search box and click the Search button. This will take you to the correct line in
the Buy or Sell Rank list.

The final option is Sort Summary. This option can be selected only if the Summary Grid
is selected. Selecting this option brings up the following menu:
