5 Photography Auxiliary Functions

Anterior Eye Photography

This function makes it possible to photograph the anterior eye. It is also possible to use the x2
photography function at the same time.

Do not allow external light that contains infrared to enter the position being photographed.

Switch the diopter compensation knob to the anterior eye photography position.

The anterior eye photography mark appears on the observation monitor.

Move the operation lever to align the area to be photographed in the center of the
observation monitor.

Tilt the operation lever to the front or back to focus on the area to be photographed.

Focus the image so that the area to be photographed can be seen as clearly as possible.

Make sure that the photography ready lamp lights green.

Press the shutter release button.

The image of the retina appears on the Rics NM 2 screen.
To take images of another position, repeat steps from step 2.

External Monitor

The image on the observation monitor can be viewed on an external monitor.
Contact the Canon representative or distributor from whom you purchased the CR-2 about which
external monitors can be used.

Before connecting or disconnecting video cables, be sure to turn off the retinal camera and all

other devices.

Use only the video cable provided with the instrument. Images might not be displayed if a

different video cable is used.

Use an external monitor that conforms to IEC60601-1 or IEC60950-1. If you use a monitor that

conforms to IEC60950-1, be sure to also use the isolation transformer that is designated by
Canon. For details, contact the Canon representative or distributor from whom you purchased
the CR-2.
