Place the 5” L – shaped support piece on the underside of the rail as shown in Fig. #2 and clamp the pieces in place.
Drill the holes (4 per socket) through the rail and support piece with a 3/16” drill bit using the socket as a guide.

Step 2: Attach pieces to Canoe

Insert two 1 3/4 bolts down through the top holes in the oar socket, gunwale, and L – support as shown. Place washers on
the bolts and secure with lock nuts. Tighten lock nuts and add a Cap Nut to the end of the bolt. Fig. #3

Insert two 2 ½”” bolts down through the side holes in the oar socket, gunwale, and L – support as shown. Place washers
on the bolts and secure with lock nuts. Tighten nuts. Fig. #3 repeat these steps on other side of the boat.

Drop Oar Locks into the sockets when you are ready to row.
