To use this balance safely, be sure to follow these instructions:

Caution
1. Do not dismantle, modify, insert with reverse polarity, or short-circuit batteries, as
doing so could damage the batteries, causing the balance to fail or catch fire.
2. Do not throw batteries into fire, as doing so could cause the batteries to burst.
3. Do not use old and new batteries or batteries of different types or manufacturers
together.
4. Do not charge batteries other than rechargeable batteries. Doing so could cause
electrolyte to leak or the battery to burst.
5. Remove the batteries from the balance when not in use for a prolonged period of
time.
6. Do not use batteries if the electrolyte is leaking.
7. Follow the instructions provided on the dry-cell batteries or rechargeable
batteries.
8. When disposing of depleted batteries, follow local regulations.
