probe can be cleaned to remove visible particulate contamination. Wiping the housing
and probe exterior with a mild non-alcohol based disinfecting solution, using a clean cloth
or towel, provides a suitable form of cleaning and low-level disinfecting. Perform this
process weekly, or as often as conditions warrant, to prevent a build-up of dirt from
normal handling and use.
The disinfecting materials and procedures applied in your facility may be more stringent
for your circumstances than the methods outlined above. The frequency of cleaning and
disinfecting is dependent on your facility’s risk assessment, usage, and test
environment.
