your problem. Contact Welch Allyn Technical Support if you are unable to resolve or
experience a different issue.

Keyboard and Password Entry problems.

Long system shutdown times

Problem

Password entry is not working.

Solution

Verify that you have the correct password. Contact Technical Support to confirm if
necessary.

Write the password on a piece of paper, exactly as it should be entered, for
reference.

Passwords are case sensitive. Ensure that the CAPS LOCK is off.

If your password includes numbers, use the numerical keys across the top of the
keyboard, not from the 10-digit keypad on the right side.

Take your time and enter your password carefully. If you make a mistake, press
Enter (or Return) and start over.

Use the Enter (or Return) key from the main section of the keyboard instead of the
Enter (or Return) key on the 10-digit keypad. These behave differently.

Problem

System takes more that 5 minutes to Quit the Application.

System is unresponsive for more than 5 minutes.

Solution

Press and hold the Stop key and the A key together at the same time (the Stop key
is located within the left most set keys on the keyboard). This suspends the
operating system and forces the system to the ok> prompt.

Next type sync and press Return. Messages will display about the status of the
system syncing the files, and then CPU will automatically reboot after a few
moments.
