distance

bearing

from another waypoint,

or

entering a distance

and

hearingfrom your

present position.

Now that you’ve marked your present position, it’s

time to enter a new waypoint manually so we may

navigate toward it. This will allow you to go directly

to this new destination quickly and easily. We can do

this one of two ways; either by exaa position coordi­

nates, or by referencing

a

known location.

1. Press

or BButitil the M enu Page is displayed.

For this example, you’ll need to know either a

waypoint^ position coordinates, or its distance and

bearing from another known position (e g. ‘HOME’),

1. Press the key to highlightthe 'W aypoinf field

and press IB.

2. Press the ▼ key to highlightthe nam e field.

3. Press 0 to begin entry of the w aypoint nam e.

4. U sethe ▲ and 'Tkeystoenteryourw aypoint

nam e, using the

and ^ keys to m ove to the

next character position.

5. Press to confirm the w aypoint nam e. The

position field w ill now becom e highlighted, w ith

the receivers last know n position show n.

6. Press B to begin entry of the position, or use

the 'w ' arrow to highlight the 'reh' field to create

the w aypoint a certain bearing and distance from

your current position.

7. Use the Aand '▼ 'keys to enter your exact posi­

tion or die reference w aypoint nam e (leave blank

to use your current positionl.

8. If entering a range and distance feature, use

and to enter the bearing and distance. Press

SI to calculate a new laVlon position.

9. Press the key to confirm and save your coor­

dinates. The default w aypoint com m ent

(U TC date and tim e of creation) w ill appear and the

highlight w ill m ove to the 'done field.

10. Press the key to return to the M enu Page.
