• TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE

PROBLEM

CAUSE

SOLUTION

Fuel line not primed

Fill fuel tank and pressurize tank by capping exhaust

ENGINE WILL NOT START

Glow plug will not heat(lite)

Check glow plug battery heater or replace plug.

Engine flooded, too much fuel

Check carb. needle setting. Do not over prime.

Remove glow plug and poor out fuel.

Needle valves not setup

Check needle setting for break-in.

Servo linkage not correct

Check linkage for correct radio neutral.

Carb. barrel closed

Check for slight barrel gap, 1/6th

Fuel tank empty

Check fuel level and prime fuel line/carb.

Glow plug bad

Even if plug heats, change to a known good plug.

ENGINE STARTS AND

Master needle closed

Check master needle setting

STOPS

Engine is too hot

Check needle settings

Low end is too lean

Check low end needle, factory set.

Needle are not correct

Check needle settings

SLOW THROTTLE

Fuel pressure in tank

Check pressure line to tank and lid seal.

RESPONSE

Linkage not opening

Check that throttle is fully open at full throttle on radio.

Batteries in car are low

Turn off engine and replace car batteries.

Batteries in car are low

Turn off engine and replace car batteries.

Radio batteries are low

Turn of engine and replace radio batteries.

CAR IS HARD TO CONTROL

Reception from radio bad

Check antenna and batteries. Also, loose screws on

OR NO CONTROL AT A

chassis can interfere with radio.

DISTANCE

Car radio is wet

Turn off engine and dry radio rec’r with air. do not run

again until fully dry.

Low battery in car

Replace batteries before running car.

Low servo power

Standard servo used in this kit are only 50ioz, up

graded servo with 70 or more will work better.

STEERING SLOW

Battery pack is dead, quickly

A rechargable pack is recommended (5 cell 600AE)
