News/Music sound switch
For all normal listening, it is recommended to use the sound/music switch in the music position.
The alternative news position is intended to make speech clearer when there is significant back-
ground noise or music in the program content.
Display backlight
. When your radio is powered by the AC adaptor, the display backlight will always be switched on.
. When using on batteries, the display backlight will be switched on for approx.  seconds when
any button is pressed.
