Operation Differences Using AC or DC Power

This Combination VCR is equipped to be operated on either AC or DC power. However, there are some
differences in Combination VCR operation depending on which power supply is used.

NOTES:

• The Combination VCR will accept commands from the remote control only when POWER on the Combination

VCR is turned ON (POWER indicator is lit).

• When POWER on the Combination VCR is OFF (DC power source), it’s the same as if the Combination VCR

were unplugged. Therefore, all memory data, i.e. clock data, etc. is erased in approximately one minute.

• If there is a loss in battery voltage of more than 30 seconds, the Combination VCR automatically shuts off.

When normal voltage is restored, pushed POWER on the Combination VCR OFF and then ON.

AC Power Supply is Used

Power Switch is ON on the Unit

• If POWER on the remote control is pushed OFF

during rewind, the power will shut off but the rewind
will continue (Memory Rewind). If it is pushed during

recording, the recording will continue.

• If POWER on the remote control is pushed OFF

during rewind, the rewind is terminated and the
Combination VCR shuts off. If it is pushed while

recording, the recording is terminated and the

Combination VCR shuts off.

• It takes from 3 to 5 minutes to rewind a two hour

tape.

• It takes 5 minutes to rewind a two hour tape.

• When STOP is pushed, the cylinder continues to

rotate for 5 minutes.

• When STOP is pushed, the cylinder stops.

• The search speed in SLP mode is 27 times normal.

• The search speed in SLP mode is 15 times normal.

• If the AC cord is unplugged and then plugged back

in, the Combination VCR will be in OFF condition.

• If POWER on the Combination VCR is pushed OFF,

the Combination VCR will be in Stop mode when
turned back on.

• If the DC cord is unplugged, and then plugged back

in: within one minute. Plav and Rec mode will

continue. All other functions will change to Stop

mode.

If unpluooed for over one minute, the Combination
VCR will be in STOP mode when plugged back in.

• If POWER on the Combination VCR is pushed OFF,

OTR (One Touch Recording) is continued.

• If POWER on the Combination VCR is pushed OFF,

OTR (One Touch Recording) will be cancelled.

• If POWER on the Combination VCR is pushed OFF,

Timer Recording will be performed.

• If POWER on the Combination VCR is pushed OFF,

while a Timer Recording is in progress, the Timer

Recording will be cancelled.

• If POWER on the Combination VCR is pushed OFF

during rewind, the power will shut off but the rewind
will continue (Memory Rewind).

• If POWER on the Combination VCR is pushed OFF

during rewind, the rewind is terminated and the
Combination VCR shuts off.

WARNING:

• There may be an excessive drain on the battery if the Combination VCR is used along with, such power

consuming things as fog lamps, air conditioner, power windows, etc.

• Never watch or operate the Combination VCR while driving a vehicle.

• Avoid leaving the Combination VCR in places of extreme heat, such as inside a hot vehicle, or in direct

sunlight as this may damage the Combination VCR.
