AC/DC Operation

Power Sources

This TV set operates on 120 volt, 60Hz AC and on 12 volt negative

ground car battery systems through the cigarette lighter socket Two
power cords (AC Power Cord and Car Battery Cord) are supplied

A. House Current Operation
Insert the AC power cord (supplied) into the socket on the rear of the TV
and connect the plug to a convenient wall outlet (120 Volt, EOHz)

This plug IS polarized for safety If you are unable to insert the plug fully

into the outlet try reversing the plug If the plug should still fail to fit, contact

your electrician Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug

CAUTION- TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK DO NOT USE THIS

(POLARIZED) PLUG WITH A RECEPTACLE OR OTHER OUTLET

UNLESS THE BLADES CAN BE FULLY INSERTED TO PREVENT
BLADE EXPOSURE

B. Car Battery Operation
Prior to Use-

Before connecting the car battery cord (supplied), check the polarity of

your car battery The car cord supplied isdesignedforuse with a negative

grounded battery If your car has a positive ground, consult your
Panasonic dealer If you have any questions concerning the car polarity
or battery voltage, consult your car dealer

Connection and Use:
Remove the cigarette lighter from your car and insert the car battery cord plug in its place Insert the car cord into the

socket on the rear of the TV To turn Receiver ON, press the POWER button

While the car is moving, it may be difficult to obtain good reception due to signal variations

It IS recommended to operate with the engine idling under the following conditions
a) Very low outside temperatures likely to cause difficult engine starts
b) Viewing the Receiver for more than just a few hours (For personal safety when in a vehicle with engine idling

always keep a window slightly open to prevent being overcome from possible engine fume leaks)

Do not operate the set when starting the engine to avoid overloading the engine

When finished viewing, turn OFF POWER and disconnect power cord from cigarette lighter Failure to do so may

discharge your car battery

Fuse Replacernent
If the car cord does not seem to function normally, check if the fuse in the plug is blown If the fuse is blown, replace it with
the spare fuse supplied

Car Card Plug

Proceed as follows-

Turn the TV set OFF and unplug the car cord from the cigarette lighter

socket

Loosen and remove the cap

3

Pull out the fuse

4

Install the spare fuse supplied

5

Replace the cap

B Plug the car cord into the cigarette lighter socket and turn the TV set ON

When the fuse is blown, replace it only with the same type, 7A-125V Never use an ordinary piece of wire

2

Always keep the cigarette lighter socket of the car clean If the socket is dirty with cigarette ash, the resulting bad

contact may overheat the car cord plug
