This instrument has a built-in automatic stop and the tape mechanism will stop playing or
recording and shut off when it has reached the end of the tape.
MANUAL STOP
The tape player can be stopped manually by pressing the Cassette STOP/EJECT Button.
TO PLAY A CASSETTE TAPE
1. Open the Cassette Door by pressing the Cassette STOP/EJECT Button (in some
cases, you may have to press the Cassette STOP/EJECT Button twice since this
button has combined functions of stop and eject).
2. Insert the cassette, with the exposed tape facing downwards, into the tracks in the
Cassette Door - the full reel or spool must be on the right side.
3. Close the Cassette Door.
4. Check the position of the FUNCTION Switch to make sure it is in the TAPE
position.
5. Press the Cassette PLAY Button.
6. Adjust the VOLUME Control to your listening preference.
7. To stop the tape manually, press the Cassette STOP/EJECT Button.
8. To remove the cassette, press the Cassette STOP/EJECT Button again and the
Cassette Door will open.
CAUTION: SIDE A SIDE B
● The automatic stopping mechanism may not operate during playback of tape
when set is using batteries if the batteries are weak.
● Do not leave any tape buttons down when set is not in use, or else the pinch
roller could be damaged.
AUTOMATIC LEVEL CONTROL (ALC)
This set has the latest Automatic Level Control circuitry, therefore, it is not necessary to
adjust the VOLUME Control when recording. This circuit automatically records at the
correct level and prevents over loading.
NOTE: While recording you may adjust the VOLUME Control as you desire without
affecting the recording operation.
TO RECORD FROM THE BUILT-IN RADIO
7. Follow the instructions in TO PLAY THE RADIO (slide the FUNCTION Switch to
RADIO position).
8. Load the cassette tape into the Cassette compartment (full reel on the right side).
9. Tune into the station you want to record, press the Cassette RECORD button and
cassette PLAY button both at the same time. Both buttons should remain in their
depressed positions when released.
10. You are now recording from the Built-in Radio and the recording process will
automatically stop at the end of the tape.
11. To stop the recording manually, press the Cassette STOP/EJECT button.
12. When you want to play the cassette tape after recording, press Cassette REWIND
button, then press the Cassette PLAY button. Adjust the VOLUME control to
comfortable level.
TO RECORD FROM COMPACT DISC
1.Load the cassette tape into the Cassette Door (full reel on the right).
2.Load the compact disc and close the CD/Mp3 Door.
3.Set the FUNCTION Switch to CD/Mp3 position.
4.Press the Cassette PAUSE button for the cassette.
5.Press the Cassette RECORD and PLAY buttons for record stand-by.
NOTE: When pressing the Cassette RECORD button, the Cassette PLAY Button will
automatically go down. (If the buttons do not go down, reverse the tape or check
record lever interlock.)
6.Start the CD/Mp3 playing by pressing the CD/Mp3 PLAY/PAUSE ( ) button.
7.Press and release the Cassette PAUSE button when you wish to start recording.
8.Press the Cassette STOP/EJECT button to stop the recording.
9.To hear what you recorded, press the REWIND Button and then PLAY Button.
TO ERASE A TAPE
Simply record any new program, the old program will automatically be erased. If you
cannot press the Cassette RECORD Button, see RECORD LEVER INTERLOCK
information, or to see whether the tape may reach its end.

PROTECTING CASSETTE TAPE AGAINST ERASURE
All cassette tapes are provided with tabs which, when in place, allow tape erasure to be
performed. If the tabs are removed then the tape CANNOT be erased and the Cassette
RECORD Button cannot be depressed.
To protect the A (or 1) side of cassette tape, break off the A side tab with a screwdriver.

Follow same procedure for B (or 2) side.
NOTE: Music tapes you buy from a store have these removed to prevent accidental
erasure.
The tape can be re-recorded or erased, if by covering the tab holes with plastic tape.

Se puede detener el cassette manualmente presionando el botón STOP/EJECT (detener/eyec-
tar).
CÓMO REPRODUCIR UNA CINT A DE CASSETTE
1.Abra la puerta de la casetera presionando el botón STOP/EJECT (detener/eyectar). En
algunos casos se tiene que presionar este botón dos veces ya que éste posee las dos funciones
combinadas de detener y eyectar.
2.Inserte el cassette, con la parte de la cinta expuesta hacia abajo, dentro los carriles de la
puerta. El carrete del cassette que se encuentra lleno con la cinta debe de estar a la derecha.
3.Cierre la puerta de la casetera.
4.Verifique que la posición del selector de FUNCIONES se encuentre en la posición TAPE (cas -
sette).
5.Presione el botón PLAY (reproducir) de la casetera.
6.Regule el control de VOLUMEN al nivel deseado.
7.Para detener la cinta manualmente, presione el botón STOP/EJECT (detener/eyectar).
8.Para retirar el cassette, presione de nuevo el botón STOP/EJECT (detener/eyectar) para abrir
la puerta de la casetera.
PRECAUCIÓN:
•El mecanismo de detenido automático puede no funcionar durante la reproducción de la cinta si
se está usando baterías que estén agotadas o bajas.
•No deje ningún botón de la casetera presionado si no se está usando con una cinta, ya que el
rodillo de ajuste se puede dañar.
CONTROL AUT OMÁTICO DE NIVEL (ALC)
Este aparato cuenta con un moderno mecanismo de circuitos de control automático de nivel.
Por lo tanto, no es necesario regular el nivel de volumen a la hora de grabar. Estos circuitos
automáticamente graban al nivel correcto y previenen sobrecargas.
NOTA: Mientras se graba, se puede regular el VOLUMEN como se desee sin afectar el proceso
de grabación.
CÓMO GRABAR DE LA RADIO INCORPORADA.
1.Siga las instrucciones de CÓMO OPERAR LA RADIO (coloque el selector de FUNCIONES en
la posición RADIO).
2.Coloque la cinta de cassette en el compartimiento de la casetera (con el carrete lleno con la
cinta a la derecha).
3.Sintonice la estación de donde se desea grabar. Presione los botones de la casetera RECORD
(grabar) y PLAY (reproducir) al mismo tiempo. Ambos botones deben de permanecer asegura -
dos hacia abajo cuando los suelte.
4.Ahora ya se está grabando de la radio incorporada. El proceso de grabación se detendrá
cuando la cinta llegue a su fin.
5.Para detener la grabación manualmente, presione el botón STOP/EJECT (detener/eyectar).
6.Cuando desee reproducir la cinta después de haber grabado, presione el botón REWIND
(rebobinar); luego presione el botón PLAY (reproducir) de la casetera. Regule el VOLUMEN al
nivel deseado.
