Record On a Tape

Check list before you begin.

D All connections are made (see page 5).
D Your Combination VCR is plugged in.

Insert a cassette with record

• The Combination VCR power

comes on automatically.

Selecting the Input Mode

You can select the Input Mode In one of
two ways.

■ Push the CH UP/DOWN button.

The display will change in the order

below.

Push the MENU button to display

the menu.
Then, use the WHEEL key to select

“TV” and then “INPUT SELECT’

Finally choose “TUNER” or “LINE.”

Push CH UP or DOWN

or NUMBERED keys to
select a channel.

• Or, push the CH Up/Down

button on Combination VCR.

• To record from an outside

source, push the CH UP/DOWN to select LINE (see below).

SPEED

REC/TiME

Push SPEED until the

desired speed appears
on-screen.

• SP = standard Play, LP = Long

Play, SLP = Super Long Play.

Push REC/TIME

to start recording.

• Or, push the PLAY and REC/TIME

buttons on Combination VCR.

One Touch Timer Recording (OTR)

The Combination VCR stops recording
at a preset time.

Continue to push the REC/TIME button to
set the recording length.

Each Push will change the time as shown.

Push STOP to

stop recording.

• Or, push the STOP button

on Combination VCR.

While it is possible to change the tape speed when you are

recording, there will be some destortion on the tape where

the change occured.

Push PAUSE to pause a recording in progress. (After the
Combination VCR has been in Rec Pause mode for 5
minutes, it will stop automatically to protect the tape and

video head.)

The recording time remaining will appear when the DISPLAY

button is pushed during OTR mode.
