Automatic Tune (Channel Select and Country System must already be set; Refer to pages 18 to 21)

This TV uses automatic tuning to determine whether or not a broadcast signal is being sent which It can
receive, and automatically prepares so that the channel selection can respond to both the position select
and direct select modes.

Push the “PRE.” (PRESET) Button 3 times, setting the Preset Menu to “AUTO TUNE”.
Push the Volume Up “+” Button.
Confirm that acceptable sound (audio) is heard for each Programme Number, using the
Programme Number Up “ a ” Button.
If the Sound is not clear or no Sound is produced on a Programme Number, then follow the
next step.
Note:
When sound volume is too small to confirm, turn it up by using the sound volume button on
the remote control.
If necessary, push the Volume Up “+” or Down Button until the optimum Sound is obtained.
The sound indicator will change as follows.

Repeat Steps 3 to 4 for each Programme Number.
After all stations are tuned, push the “PRESET’ Button 4 times, to return the set to the normal
viewing condition.

l>-Helpful Hint
(1) If a clear picture with correct colours cannot be obtained when a Broadcast or AV signal is received, refer to the
“Colour System Selection” operation on page 26.
(2) After the Automatic Search is finished, push the Programme Number “Up” Button to confirm the tuning condition
for each Programme Number, if some Programme Numbers are unused, it is possible to skip such Programme
Numbers. Please refer to the Programme Number Skip operation on page 23.
(3) Repeated pushing of the “PRE.” (PRESET) button changes the Preset Menu as follows;
