Listening to compact discs

Loading and checking CDs

Always stop the changer before loading or changing CDs. You cannot
change CDs while a disc is playing.

How to load CDs

Press [CD].

The power will come on automatically.

Press OPEN/CLOSE 1] - OPEN/CLOSE 5],

whichever you want.

The tray will open.

Set CD in the tray.

Note the lighted disc indicator(see below) for the

disc you are at, and press its corresponding button

[e OPEN/CLOSE 1] - [± OPEN/CLOSE 5].

The tray wilt close and the disc No., number of tracks and total

playing time will be shown on the display.

To load several CDs consecutively or to check which discs are

loaded

Press OPEN/CLOSE 1] - OPEN/CLOSE 5], whichever you

want.
The tray will open.

Press another of OPEN/CLOSE 1] - OPEN/CLOSE 5] to

continue loading or checking another disc. After loading or checking

all the CDs you want, press OPEN/CLOSE 1] - OPEN/CLOSE

5], corresponding to the disc you are at.

The tray will close.

Disc indicators ([DISC 1] - [DISC 5])

Disc indicators will act as follows whether the tray is loaded or not.

Green

When selected (When in the playing position)

Lights off

In all other cases

To prevent damage

Always observe the following points:

• Load only 1 CD on the tray. Q
• Load CDs as shown in figure E|-

The adapter is not needed with 8 cm CDs (singles).

• Set the system on a flat, level surface.

Do not set it on top of magazines, inclined surfaces, etc.

• Do not move the system while tray is opening/closing, or when

loaded.

Always unload all CDs before moving the system.

• Do not put anything except CD in tray.
• Do not use cleaning CDs or CDs which are badly warped or cracked.
• Do not use CDs with poorly attached labels or stickers.

Adhesive protnjding from underneath stickers or left over from peeled
off stickers can cause your stereo to malfunction.

• Do not use irregular shape CDs. B
• Do not disconnect the power cord from the household AC outlet

during disc changing operation.
