2.5 Troubleshooting
Fault description
The mac-address command fails to add a MAC address entry.
Fault analysis
The possible causes are as follows:
• The MAC address is a multicast address.
• The configured nondynamic entries exceed 1024.
Troubleshooting procedure
Step 1 Check whether the configured MAC address is a multicast address. Multicast address entries
are not allowed in a MAC address table.
