Adjusting the Viewfinder Image

When the power switch is turned on or off, the <

> icon is displayed

on the LCD monitor to indicate that self-cleaning sensor system is
operating.

To save battery power, the camera turns off automatically after about 30
seconds of non-operation. To turn on the camera again, just press the
shutter button.

You can change the auto power-off time with the menu’s [c Auto
power off
] setting. (p.95)

If you set the power switch to <2> while the image is being recorded
to the CF card, [Recording ...] will be displayed and the power will turn
off after the CF card finishes recording the image.

If the camera’s dioptric adjustment still cannot provide a sharp viewfinder
image, using Dioptric Adjustment Lens E (10 types, optional) is
recommended.
