Before returning the folding spare
tire to its compartment, you must let
out all the air. It will fold back to its
original space saving shape.

The folding spare tire must be off
the ground when you let the air out.
It is best to deflate the folding spare
tire while it is still mounted on the
vehicle. This prevents foreign
material from being trapped between
the wheel and tire.

If the folding spare tire is still on
the vehicle, follow the instructions
under

to

loosen the wheel nuts and jack up
the vehicle.

Unscrew and remove the folding
spare tire valve cap.

Remove the rubber cover on top of
the valve cap. Use the notch on
the valve cap to unscrew the spare
tire valve core until the air starts
coming out. Use your hand to
shield your eyes. The valve core
can fly out under pressure.

Keep your fingers and clothing away
as the tire deflates and folds back to
its compact size.
