If the information in this manual is not followed exactly, a fire or

— Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any
other appliance.
— Do not install this product with air curtain hood or other range hood that blows air down on the
cooktop. Airflow may interfere with operation of gas burners resulting in fire or explosion hazard.
— WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS
■ Do not try to light any appliance.
■ Do not touch any electrical switch; do not use any phone in your building.
■ Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor's phone. Follow the gas supplier's
instructions.
■ If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the fire deportment.
— Installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency or the gas supplier.
AWARNING I IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE
The California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act requires the Governor of California to publish a list of
substances known to the state to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm, and requires businesses to warn
customers of potential exposure to such substances.
Gas appliances can cause minor exposure to four of these substances, namely benzene, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde
and soot, caused primarily by the incomplete combustion of natural gas or LP fuels. Properly adjusted burners, indicated
by a bluish rather than a yellow flame, will minimize incomplete combustion. Exposure to these substances can be
minimized by venting with an open window or using a ventilation fan or hood.
