Stainless Steel Phone Mount

INSTALLATION:
Mounting on the wall

1. Select

mounting location (such os a wall nearest the telephone), then run phone coble to that

location. Leave at least 8 Inches of extra cable for making the connections. Strip insulation from

the coble and each colored wire.

2. Place the base flat against the mounting surface (with the end marked up on top) and trace the

inside of each corner hole (A) with a pencil.

3. Drill a small hole at each marked location, then insert an anchor (not supplied) into each hole. Be

sure to use an anchor type that is appropriate for the wall. (For example, use a plastic anchor if the

wall is hollow sheetrock.)

4. Thread the cable's wires form the back of the base through the guide (B) in the center of the base.

Then connect each colored wire to the appropriate bottom terminal on the front of the base (C)

using the colors of the already connected top-terminal wires as a guide.

5. Align the mounting holes in the base (A) with the prepared mounting holes in the wall, then thread

a seif-tapping screw (not supplied) into each hole and tighten it with a screwdriver.

6. Place the cover plate over the mounted base, then thread a supplied screw (D) into each mounting

hole on the plate and tighten the screws with a screwdriver to secure the cover.

Mounting on on electrical (outlet-type) box

1. Remove the cover (if any) from the box. then thread the wires from the box into the back of the

base through the guide (B) in the center of the base.

2. Connect each colored wire to the appropriate bottom terminal on the front of the base (C). using

the colors of the already connected top-terminal wires as a guide.

3. Align the mounting holes in the base with the mounting holes on the box. then thread one of the

supplied screws (£) into each hole and tighten it with a flat-head screwdriver.

4. Place the cover plate over the mounted base, then thread a supplied screw (D) into each mounting

hole on the plate and tighten the screws with a screwdriver to secure the cover.

WARNING:

To prevent electric shock from a ring signal, take a telephone on each line off the hook before

installing the wall plate.

a. Never install telephone wiring during a lightning storm.

b. Never install a telephone in wet locations unless the jack is specifically designed for use in wet

locations.

c. Never touch uninsulated telephne wires or terminals unless the telephone line has been

disconnected at the network interface.

d. Use caution when installing or modifying telephone lines.
