6. TROUBLESHOOTING

Power does not
turn on.
(No sound is
produced.)

Fuse is blown.

Replace with a fuse of the same amperage. If the
fuse blows again, consult your store of purchase.

Incorrect wiring.

Consult your store of purchase.

No sound output
when operating the
unit with amplifiers.

Amplifier turn-on lead is
shorted to ground or
excessive current is
required.

Turn the unit off and check each wire for a
possible short. If the amplifier turn-on lead shorts
out, cover it with insulation such as tape.

Nothing happens
when buttons are
pressed.

The microprocessor has
malfunctioned due to
noise, etc.

Turn off the power, then
press the [RELEASE]
button and remove the
DCP.
Press the reset button for
about 2 seconds with a
thin rod.
The settings will remain
in the ROM even if you press the reset button.

Display is not
accurate.

DCP or source unit
connectors are dirty.

Wipe the dirt off with a soft cloth moistened with
cleaning alcohol.

No audio.

The speaker protection
circuit is operating.

1. Check the speaker connection.
2. Turn down sound volume. Function can also

be restored by turning the power off and on
again.

3. If the sound is muted again, consult your store

of purchase.

The settings in the
ROM are not
stored properly.

ROM failure.

If the error persists, consult your store of
purchase.

CD

/MP3/WMA

Disc does not start. The unit is not turned on.

Turn the power on.

No sound heard.

There is a disc other than
a compact disc or foreign
matter already in place.

Press the [

o] button to eject.

MP3/WMA files are
absent in a disc.

Write MP3/WMA files onto the disc properly.

Files are not recognized
as an MP3/WMA file.

Use MP3/WMA files encoded properly.

File system is not correct. Use ISO9660 level 1, 2 or JOLIET or Romeo file

system.

Sound skips or is
noisy.

Disc is dirty.

Clean the disc with a soft cloth.

Disc is heavily scratched
or warped.

Replace with a disc with no scratches.
