5. MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT

5-1. GENERAL INFORMATION

Your transceiver has been factory aligned and tested to
specification before shipment. Under normal circum
stances, the transceiver will operate in accordance with
the instructions in this manual.

If your transceiver fails to work, contact the authorized

dealer from which you purchased it for quick, reliable re
pair. All adjustable trimmers and coils in your transceiver
were preset at the factory and should only be readjusted

by a qualified technician with proper test equipment.
Attempting service or alignment without factory authori
zation, may void the warranty.
When operated properly, the transceiver can give years
of service without requiring realignment. The informa
tion in this section gives some general service proce
dures which can be accomplished without sophisticated
test equipment.

to your dealer or service center for repair, pack it in its

ectly related to the service problem. If you do include ac
cessory items please list them in your correspondence.
