Safety advice

Not suitable for children younger than 6 years (contains small parts).
Children should never be left alone with the product without supervision!

Remove the mains power plug from the computer before removing the
old cooler. Insert the plug back into the socket only if you are sure the
components are properly installed inside.

Caution: Burn Hazard! Do not run any cooling components without first
ensuring that the cooling liquid flows through the cooling system.
Coolers driven without any cooling liquid can become very hot. Coolers
which do not contain cooling liquid could damage the computer
hardware. When installing the hardware, always ensure that the pump is
connected to the power connector and functioning correctly.

Please note: Do not use tools such as wrenches or pliers for tightening
the connectors. Product parts made of plastic or metal with threaded
connectors could be damaged by tools! This could cause cracks, leaking
coolant or other damage; this kind of damage, caused by human error is
not covered by the warranty! Only use fittings with a seal that can be
easily tightened by hand. In the rare case where you do need to use a
tool, please check the manual for a detailed description of what tool to
use.

Specified normal operation

Use of the Cooler Master water cooling components for the cooling of
computer components is only allowed by Cooler Master & Alphacool for
private sector use. If these are used for other purposes the warranty will
be considered void.

Removal of the cooler

Be sure to turn off the system power before removing the cooler. This
minimizes the chance of errors. Cooler Master will not guarantee any
warranty for the use of products by other manufacturers. The installation
of this cooling system is on your own risk.

Put the hardware on an antistatic mat. Start with the removal of the original cooler.
Use the manual for the original cooler to ensure you do this correctly. Take off all
items carefully. Then clean the hardware and the thermal grease with a solvent (eg
rubbing alcohol).

Mounting the cooler

Use the correct bracket as pictured below. There are two brackets included,

one for Intel ® CPUs and one for AMD CPUs.

Bracket for Intel® CPUs

Bracket for AMD® CPUs

The radiator should be fitted as demonstrated in the pictures below.

WARNING: Only use the provided
screws. Longer screws could
damage the radiator causing
cooling fluid could escape and
damage the other hardware.

Mount the radiator (size will vary depending on
the set you have purchased).

Now apply a thin layer of thermal grease on to the CPU as shown below. This

should not be thicker than about 0.1 mm. If too much paste is used it will spread
beyond the CPU towards other computer components and could cause damage.

Intel® based CPUs

AMD CPU

Skip this step if you have a motherboard with Intel ® LGA 2011 or an AMD ®

Socket AM2 + AM3. If you have a motherboard with Intel ® LGA 775, 1366 or
1155/56, you need to insert the threaded inserts into the four mounting holes on
the motherboard. You will hear a click if this is done correctly.

Screw the threaded rods into the threaded inserts or existing cooler mounting

points (depending on step 4).

Remove the protective film layer from the cooler base.

Align the holes in the bracket and slide the cooler onto the threaded rods. This

could require a very small amount of force.

Now place the washers over the threaded rods.

Place the springs over the threaded rods.

Finally, screw the knurled nuts onto the threaded rods. These must be turned

firmly crosswise. Screw the nuts until they touch the washer easily.

Please note: Turning the nuts excessively hard can cause damage
to the base of the CPU or the motherboard.
