5. After the process of installing from the Quick Restore CD is completed, the computer will

reboot automatically. At this point, you need to either remove the Quick Restore CD from
the CD Drive or, alternatively, you can refrain from pressing a key when prompted so that
the computer can boot the new installation of the operating system on the hard drive.


6. End User License Agreement. Select yes to accept the EULA and continue, or select no

if you do not wish to continue.

7. The Quick Restore CD may not install the latest drivers for all of the devices incorporated

into the computer. For additional drivers, visit www.windowsupdate.com or
www.ctlcorp.com/support.

8. The Quick Restore process is now completed.

Opening Your Computer Case


Some troubleshooting procedures described earlier in this chapter require you to work inside your
computer. This section describes how to open the case and remove the cover. Before you
proceed with any of the steps described here, please read the following WARNING.


WARNING! FOR YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY AND PROTECTION OF YOUR
EQUIPMENT

It is important that you perform the following steps before opening your computer case:

1. Turn off your computer and all devices.

2. Touch an unpainted metal surface on the computer case to discharge static electricity.

3. Disconnect the power cable to your computer.

4. Disconnect any devices connected to the computer from their electrical outlets to reduce

the potential for shock or personal injury.


Opening the Mid-tower Case (CTL CS05D/CS05P4)

Step 1:

Please read the above WARNING before proceeding). Facing the back
of the case, unscrew and remove the two thumbscrews located on the
top corners.


Step 2:

Gently slide back the top panel.


Step 3:

To remove each side panel once the top panel has been removed, grab
the extended lip on the top of the side panel midway between the front
and back of the case. Gently pull up to remove.
