Pressure Balance Mixing Valve

The Waimea ShowerSpa is equipped with a cUPC® pressure balance mixing valve to adjust water flow and
temperature. The valve automatically adjusts to changes in water pressure (i.e. someone flushes a toilet), keep-
ing your temperature constant and preventing accidental scalding. To turn on the ShowerSpa simply raise the
handle until the desired flow rate is achieved. Rotate to the right to decrease temperature and rotate to the left
to increase temperature. Be sure that the handle is in the OFF position when you are done using your Shower-
Spa so that pressure does not build up inside the unit.

Diverters

The Waimea Showerspa offers independent control of each function. Water pressure can be directed to a single
function or split between the different functions via the five diverter knobs (located on the side of the Shower-
Spa). The five functions are rain shower head, waterfall shower head, hand shower and two body jet functions.
To turn a function on, simply rotate the knob until the desired flow rate is achieved. Rotate the knob in the
reverse direction to turn the function off.

IMPORTANT— DO NOT turn off the ShowerSpa by rotating all diverters to the off position. You must shut off

the Mixing Valve when done showering. If you do not, water pressure may build up inside the
unit, causing leaks that may enter your wall.

Shower Heads

There are two separate shower head functions that are controlled independently. Each has its' own diverter
knob. You may concentrate all pressure to one function or spread between the two. The rain shower head
provides the relaxing feel of soft rain while the waterfall shower head is a single wide stream that offers more
direct pressure.

Body Jets

The Waimea ShowerSpa is equipped with three oversized body jets. Each jet can be adjusted slightly to change
the angle of spray by pressing near the edges. There are two separate knobs controlling the body jets. The first
knob operates the two upper jets, while the other knob controls the lower jet. Again, you may concentrate all
pressure to one function or spread between the two.

Hand Shower

The hand shower has a single power-spray pattern that can be used alone or in combination with any of the
other ShowerSpa functions.

Care and Maintenance

Always blot dry any water from the surface of your ShowerSpa. To help protect your ShowerSpa from hard
water stains and mineral deposits, use an auto spray wax periodically and wipe down your ShowerSpa after
each use. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to a buildup of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a
damp, nonabrasive sponge and drying with a clean soft cloth should help keep your ShowerSpa looking beauti-
ful.
