SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS

CAUTION: BEFORE PERFORMING ANY SERVICE OR ADJUSTMENTS:

® Depress clutch/brake pedal fully and set parking brake,
® Place gearshift iever In “NEUTFiAL” position.
® Place attachment clutch in “DISENGAGED” position.
° Turn ignition key “OFF" and remove key.

TRACTOR

TO REMOVE MOWER (See Fig. 23)

Place attachment dutch in “DISENGAGED" position.

Turn height adjustment knob to lowest setting.

Lower mower to its lowest position.

Remove retainer spring holding anti-swaybarto chas­

sis bracket and disengage anti-swaybar from bracket.

Remove retainer springs from suspension arms at

deck and disengage arms from deck.

Raise attachment lift to its highest position.

Remove two retainer springs from each front link and
remove links.

Slide mower forward and remove belt from electric
clutch pulley.

Slide mower out from under right side of tractor.

IMPORTANT:

IFANATTACHMENTOTHERTHANTHEMOWER

DECK IS TO BE MOUNTED ON THE TRACTOR, REMOVETHE
FRONT LINKS.

TO LEVEL MOWER HOUSING

Adjust the mower while tractor is parked on level ground or
driveway. Make sure tires are properly inflated (See
"PRODUCTSPECIFICATIONS” on pageSofthis manual).

If tires are over or underinflated, you wilt not properly adjust

your mower.

SIDE-TO-SIDE ADJUSTMENT (See Figs. 23 and 24)

» Raise mower to its highest position.

* Measure height from bottom of deck curl to ground

level at front corners of mower. Distance “A” should be
the same.

» If distance "A" needs to be changed, make adjustment

on one side of mower only.

® Raise one side of mower by tightening lift link adjust­

ment nut on that side.

» Lower one side of mower by loosening lift link adjust­

ment nut on that side.

NOTE:

Each half turn of adjustment nut will change deck,

level about 1/4".

Recheck level after adjusting.
